As long as the pump isn't pumping toward the expansion tank, that is, it is near the expansion tank and PUMPING AWAY from the expansion tank, it is in the right place.

Thus, you can put it in ANY of your drawn locations AND the tank can be attached to the low pressure manifold.

No matter how many different ways you put the question or how many times you post it, the answer is the same.
