I bought an old house which had been allowed to freeze with the water in the system. The radiators on the first floor have cracked. I acquired replacements from a known working system. Bought a Weil-McLain CG6a 175K Btu replacement. The pipes do not appear to be broken while the radiators are. Is this possible? They start at 2.5" at the boiler and work themselves down to 1.5". If I have to replace all the pipes, what modern diameter do I need to use? I can't find any info on figuring diameters. The old system was thermosyphon and the new one has a Taco pump. Please help!
