Call around to repair companies asking specifically for an Axeman [model number] chamber repair and a combustion test burner adjustment. Several oil burner parts companies in your area carry 'wet pack' chambers and preformed chambers.

If nobody in the world will do that for you any longer, then we know that it is time for any problems with an oil burner to replace the whole boiler. If oil companies will settle for losing customers that way - that's the way they want to go out of the home fuel business.

When oil was half the cost of electricity - them was the days. Now at close to the cost of electricity, they are looking for people to convert to heat pumps and leave them out of the picture altogether.
