I took your advice and used the heat loss calc. from Slant/Fin. I got a total heat loss of almost 50,000 BTU/HR. Is this correct? I'm not sure.
Just to give some info about my house: 2500sq.ft colonial, 1st floor has 9 ft. ceilings, double hung wood windows, 14 years old, full unfinished basement.
Some of the values for the heat loss calc were: Infiltration Factor .012, Door and Glass factor .65, the System Design Water Temp was 180 degrees (I think this should have been 120F since that is the temp I have set for the 40 gal. SuperStor hot water tank.)
The calc never asked if the boiler makes the hot water for the superstor as well, which of course it does.
Any advice on the values that I used? Or, the calculation I came up with? I can't believe that the number I came up with does not take into account the SuperStor?
