Right now we have (4) zones and (4) thermostats with external water tank, but it evidently its piped into one of the four, so not optimal. The plan is to add 5th zone with new burner and new tank, circulators, etc... Haven't considered adding more than 5 zones, or planning for thermostat per room. I'm not looking to send dollars cross the pond, just want the best solution. We obviously want efficiency given the current market conditions. I believe the boilers I quoted are all 86-87% AFUE. I understand Burnham is a good boiler, that whole V7 cracking issue put me off. Assuming they have cleaned up their act, is the MPO147 much better (like $1000 or more) than the V84? It was also metioned to me along the way that Peerless isn't really a quality boiler. That could be sales speak or reality... Having zero knowledge of this field, I couldn't assess that. So I'm asking. In addition could you give opinion on whether an outdoor module control is good/bad. One vendor recommends it, while another says it will make my boiler run constantly and not as efficient. I have no idea who to believe. I thought the outdoor module control was for efficiency...
