I have the same exact issue as well. I am furious. The Orginal V7 boiler was installed in 1998. It cracked in late 2004 and the replacement cracked AGAIN in April 2007. Only 16 months later! Our labor bill was more than 3 times the original labor bill since the V8 requires more piping and retrofitting than the V7. We are going to small claims court in a month to dispute the whole bill. There needs to be a class-action suit against Burnham if there isn't one already. Never, ever patronize Burnham and tell everyione you know not to patronize Burnham. I know this is of no help to your situation but there really isn't much we can do. We got f$cked by Burnham,
: I'm having the SAME issue - my original V7 was installed in 1995 in my new home. In 1999, the 2nd section cracked and the unit was replaced. Now, the 2nd section is cracked AGAIn and Burnham is saying that the warranty is 10 years from the ORIGINAL install!!!
