I am considering converting my Peerless JOT/TW 125,000 oil boiler to a gas burner. I am looking at a Wayne standing pilot P265. It is a 1979 model never used in box. My boiler is used for cast iron radiators, hot water closed system. The boiler itself now has a Becket burner with J3 and 1,25 nozzle. I really have to be on top of cleaning it. I was told this model had sooting issues, I believe it was from th '80s. Is this gas burner the way to go? I have a clay lined 6x6 chimney. What should I look out for in this conversion. Please let me know, Thanks.
