I recently purchased a 1928 vintage home with the above boiler in it. Number series 2w77f. I know nothing about it. There is some device that looks like a flying saucer that is mounted vertically and is piped from the expansion tank. I have never been at the boiler when this happens but there is water that somehow blows out the top of this directly to the flooring above rather than thru and tee to the floor drain. Does anyone have a drawing of how this device works and or can I plug that tee and direct the water to the drain. I need all the help I can get. It was converted to Gas from Coal in the past.

Thanks

Rob LUND
