Thanks for your help. Do any residential units come as gas/oil? Can one buy the unit without a burner to save buying two burners? Is Riello the only manufacturer out there? Any US based duel fuel burner manufacturers?

: Many residential owners did that in the late 70's. The limitation is the boiler size and how much input can be reduced to fit the need. An oil chimney is more than adequate for gas requirements so it can be used.

: Others used their oil boiler, then swapped in a replacement gas burner on the oil boiler when desired; doing that is less complicated than buying a dual-fuel burner; though you'd need the instruments and knowledge to set them up properly.
