: Is the waste of money for a duel fuel burner running only oil due to the burner cost or other efficiency costs?
++ No, the way the sentence is worded, it would be a waste of the extra money to buy a dual-fuel unit and never use it for dual fuels when oil is all that is wanted.

: Is a power gas burner more efficient that a normal gas burner when burning gas?
++ Maybe, maybe not, depending upon the setup and heater it is in.

: How does one best utilize the duel fuel? run a mixture of both? Switch from year to year?
++ Dual fuels use one fuel at a time whenever wanted.

: What is the current thinking on gas versus oil for a steam system?
++ Nothing; except whether you are an oil or gas salesman.

: I currently have a pre-1920 7 chamber boiler originally designed for coal. Anything else to watch out for when replacing this boiler? I know dealing with the smaller volume of water is going to be an issue.
++ That's the only concern.
