Hmm, you got me thinking. If the factor set pressure is 12PSI, and we let water into it as the cold water into the expansion tank as the feed is at 15PSI. The water is taking up room already.
So the solution (instead of a bigger tank) is pump up the pressure of the expansion tank so that no water goes into it with the cold fill. So it has additional room for water to expand when the boiler turns on.
Does that make sense HeatPro?
