I live in a 2 story colonial(built 1994) with a walkout basement effectively making it a 3 story. The original owner/builder put in a monster chimney with three flues. 1 for the 1st floor fireplace, 1 for the furnace and one for a possible woodsove in the basement. My boiler is an oil fired baseboard system.Since the 2 flus are near each other, how close can I put the woodstove without effecting the furnace's burn or draft. Also any idea if also using the first floor fireplace at the same time will create additional problems? Oils getting expensive, and I'd sure love to supplement with wood! Thanks, Marc
