Sounds like the 'traditional' sales pitch; but there are a few holes in that pitch that are getting bigger over the years. Cast iron and steel boiler manufacturers shut down education courses to prevent mentioning that new homes need only 25 btuh per 1000 sq ft today (that happened when radiant floor installations made them aware of it,) meaning that 2000 sq ft houses built to 1990 insulation standards need but 50,000 btuh. This means that ALL oil burner boilers and furnaces are oversized, no matter how sleazy the heat loss method done on paper. These two particular boilers are as small as can be gotten in cast or steel.
