My company removed the Asbestos from a boiler (8 Section Cast Iron)that was installed in 1903 from a lawyers house (first mistake). We removed the burner packing but no putty in between section. We never disassembled the boiler (no water leaks) so all that was need was to reinstall burner and reinsulate. His heating contractor is saying we destroyed the boiler. I am now being sued for a complete new boiler ($17,000). Does anybody know where I can get some old manuals online about boilers that shows the assembly process. I will need these to show a judge that I believe we did nothing wrong and he has a contractor that didn't want to fix the boiler and just sell a new one. By the way, he is selling the house for 3.5 mil.
