I was reading about instant hot water systems and how an existing system could be retrofitted using a recirc pump at the hot water tank outlet with bypass valves at the faucets.
what is your experience with this type of system and are you aware of any difficulties it might present when using with a boiler and indirect heated water tank?
it seems that one might be that it sends the more cold water back through the cold line to be reheated over and over. what happens when you call for cold water while the water is being recirculated back in the opposite direction? does this make sense?
