She is just not ready to understand that throwing a fit and calling for the store manager doesn't work in the heating field. It can work on the local level with an inexperienced contractor with no legal experience, but not with a factory. The supply chain and the repair contractor/installer is between her and the factory. The advice the installer is giving her is just fluff to get her redirected away from him. If there is a story by a homeowner who successfully "scared" the factory into special treatment, it was probably someone with enough boiler orders in the wings to make a difference. All Burnham has to do legally is honor the warrantee and deliver a section to an authorized supplier for the installing contractor. But, when you're used to yelling loud and throwing tantrums, it isn't welcome advice.
