OK I see now. Ya looks like it may be a typical cover up of sorts. So the Inspectors see all is nice and tight for the two of them on a Wednesday, then two days later on a Friday this guy Jones says the vent was found as detached at the rear. Someone must have been real naive to think the Inspector would not notice the difference between the 12th and 14th. On top of it all the Chief Inspector cancels the investigation on the 14th of July.

You do have to wonder just how did the thing become detached? In addition, a run that long would be very hard to get a proper condensate drain slope on it, not to mention the resistance in the pipe to a proper flow of flue gases and combustion air.
