I have a home that was retrofitted with two high velocity fan coils. The fan coils supply heat via two hot water tanks that also supply hot water. There are independant loops for the potable and non potable.
I am thinking about replacing the hot water tanks with a boiler and an indirect tank. Effectively this would create three zones. Two for heat and one for hot water. Heat loss for the house is approx 120,000 BTU.

I am a little concerned with the low volume of water in the system. Would it be advisable to use a buffer tank with this sort of system.
