: One point of interest is why you don't do what the factory man said to do and use 6 and 8. Is it due to a relationship with Juan Betta?

+++I did what he said and wired it to 6 and 8 but it didn't work. Currently, I have a hot wire that is always on to term. 7. and a neutral wire to term 2.
Originally, i had 2 wires from the boiler (brown and white). The brown was attached via wire nut to the black from the boiler pump. The white was attached to the white from the pump via wire nut.
I left the whites together as before.
I then took the brown and attached it to term 6. I then took the black to the pump and attached it to term 8. But I still have no pump delay. I had also done it between 1 and 3 with the same results. What did I do wrong?
