My 1700 square foot house is heated by an American Standard gas boiler which is about 50 years old. It is rated 135,000 btu's input and 105,000 output. Does anyone know what the efficiency of a unit like this is? The unit supplies hot water to 13 various sized radiators. Also, what would be an appropriate sized modern gas boiler to replace this one with? I did a basic heat loss calculation and came up with about 43,000 btu heat loss.
