Thanks, Pro. I thought I would need the same size boiler as the one I have now. Smaller is better I guess now that more efficient units are available.
: The unit was made before efficiency tests were begun. The older gas atmospheric boilers were in the area of 60% efficiency.
: You need some heat to just heat up the pipes, water and radiators before you get heat from them, so you can choose a boiler to satisfy the heat loss, an IBR rated boiler of about 50,000 btuh which already allows for this or get a boiler in the area of 75,000 btuh input.
