Thanks for the reply. Last weekend, when the weather was warm, the thermostat read between 69-71, even though we had the programmable thermostat set at 66. The radiators around the house were all warm.

It seems more to the novice in me that the furnace is not insulated well, allowing the water temp to drop some 50 degrees regularly.

Is that a reasonable observation or is there something else I am not understanding?
