The water level in my Kewanee Round Type R Firetube boiler is midway in the glass which is the same level as the top of the upper firetubes. I have about 2 1/2" to the top of the glass, should I raise my water level an inch or more to cover the tops of the firetubes? It would seem the tops are not in contact with the water and wasting heat.
thanks for the help
