I have a rambling two story house that is a little of 5000 square feet. The house dates to the mid 1700's and has been added onto many times. It currently has seven zones that control a mix of cast iron radiators and baseboards. The boiler (oil) is about fifty years old and is extremely inefficient - not to mention it is continually breaking down. Any suggestions on what brand to replace it with and any idea of what I should expect to pay. My water is currently heated by an electric tank, but the water is preheated by the boiler.
