The old furnaces weren't that efficient and getting new controls is near as expensive as getting a new furnace, so a new one is good. The only thing to think about is whether you want to have the electronic ignitions serviced every year. Some spark ignitions with the sensor as part of the pilot assembly don't require cleaning the sensor yearly. Old standing pilot assemblies didn't need service for years. Your call.
