Hi Heatpro, My dad has a old natural gas sunbeam forced air furnance in his house. It is really big compared to the new furnances of today. It has all the old outdated controls. He wants to put a new furnance in because it seems to be switching on and off a lot. It never use to run like that, he tells me. Do you think this old furnance would be worth retro fitting new controls, like new gas valve that would do away with a lot of controls right there but maybe keep the standing pilot or go to a electronic ignition totaly. Or just buy a new furnance? What do you think? Thanks.
