I hope you can help me. I have a proble with my steam boiler over filling and as follows the radiators fill with water. My local plumber insists I need a new McDonnald Miller 47-2 fill valve, but I am not convenced. It appears to work properly (with no slow fill leaks), unless the furnace runs for an extended period. The Honeywell pressuretrol is set at 11psi(.75 kg/cm2) and the cut in at between .5 to 2. From all of this do you have an opinion as to what might be happening, or do I just need a new fill valve.
