The boiler will fire up to it's max temp of 180-200° or so. Most aquastats will fire again once the temp has dropped 10 degrees so. So the timming might be correct, especially if the house is cold.

I'd get someone else to look at the boiler. Riello's are great once set up correctly. Didi the tech use a combustion analyser to set it up properly?
