Would you recommend clamping the sensor right to the pipe as it comes out of the boiler? I will not be able to actually put the well for the sensor there but I can attach it to the outside of the pipe. If I did do it this way would I have to change the settings on the reset to compensate?

: Look for another tapping in a section to insert the outdoor reset sensor into a well, add a well into a tee right off the boiler top supply pipe, or set the sensor right on the casting under the jacket. A remote sensor is a problem.
