The lawfirm that had shown interest in the suit decided they could not take the case. Furthermore, my husband and I wrote a LONG letter of complaint to Burnham about our situation and the injustice of how it was handled by the company. We pointed out that the cost to us even for labor was unjust, since we should have been able to rely on the boiler functioning properly for several years beyond when it cracked. In the end, Burnham covered over $700 of the cost of a new boiler (through a dealer), and in response to our letter of complaint they sent us an additional check in excess of $1,000. Together, these payments covered the cost of a new boiler and the installation for us. If you have a cracked V7, please don't hesitate to remind them in your own letter how they handled the William Kuhens case. If they still don't respond correctly, perhaps some lawfirm out there will take this class action on.

Good luck and be warm...

Sincerely,
Pam Kuhens
