Our system is 6 years old. The system is heated with a 60 gallon electric hot water tank. For the past month the circulating pump has been making a noise and the hot water tank release valve opens and more then a bucket of water is released in a 24 hour period. The floor does not seem to be as warm as most winters. We have never drained the hot water tank, having only recently been told we should be draining it every year. Someone also told us it sounds like we have air in our system. We have a maid-o-mist air vent on the system. Any ideas what our problem might be and do we need to bleed the air out of the system when we have an automatic air release valve?
