You leave them alone, they will know when it is spring. The thermostat up in one of your rooms will tell them. Then when the thermostat gets cold,it will tell them it is fall. Download an operating manual from weil-mclain.com, burnham.com, etc. for a gas-fired hot water boiler that looks like an older style.
