I have a Burnham oil furnace with a Tjernlund power vent. Yesterday I heard a loud bang and found the vent pipe blown off the top of the furnace and the damper was blown out of the vent pipe. The Tjernlund power vent is working fine and the service tech could not find anything wrong with the burner. We replaced the damper, set the vent pipe back in place and 24 hours later still no problem. Can anyone offer any explantions/advice please? The furnace was cleaned 5 days earlier.
