Could do with some help. I have had no water5 or heat since friday night (its sunday dinner now). I have a worcester249 combi - been let down by an engineer who hasnt turned up and feel i should be able to tackle the problem myself..that wher i need some help. I dont hear any noise from the pump - the boiler will ignite but after some banging noises shuts down after about a minute, im assuming becasue the pump is doing nothing. its a grunfoss pump, its very hot even though its doing nothing.
Im sure i could remove the pump and go and get a replacement from say B&Q - but i dont know how to drain the system. In addiotin i dont want to switch the whole house electricity off - so i could do with knowing if the electricyt is likely to be wired through the lighting ring or the plug socket ring...
can anyone help - im freezing!!
