Interesting information Gavin, funnily enough I too am experiencing this same problem with my 80E- hot and cold water and also the heating coming on for short and frequent bursts of time. I have not tried replacing the thermistors yet but last year I has a similar problem and found that it was the plastic venturi in the fan chamber which allows the air pressure switch to switch and allow the gas to flow - it had crumbled away (after only two years). It came to notice especially when the outside air pressure was high i.e. it was windy

I suspect the same has happened - if not I will try the thermistors
