Hello,

I have an external hot water heater connected to the boiler and basboard heating. I live in northern NJ, need to purchase a new oil boiler and I need some advice.

1) Weil-McLain, Peerless, Utica, Burnham, Crown, Buderus etc. It seems that every oil rep. that I talk to has a different preference. Is there any proven quality difference between these manufactures or are they similar?
2) Should I have an oil co. such as Abel or Petro install the boiler, the $ quotes are in the 4K range. Or, should I have a plumber install the boiler and hopefully save some money? What should I expect to pay?
