Have boiler knocking noises. Seems to be very bad when boiler is cold and has to get up to temperature as in the middle of night as thermostats go on for morning. Hearing knocking two floors up..Had two different techs say they never heard anything like it but have no solution other than change boiler. Boiler was drained down to install spiro. Could this have moved some sentiment around? Never had these knocking noises before. Had a lot of air previously but taken care of by spirovent and adjusting temp to 180(was 220). Any ideas?
