I have a honeywell L8148A aquastat on my H/W boiler. I want to have my boiler turn on at 170* and shut off at 200*. Inside the aquastat there is a dial with 140, 180, 200, and 220* settings. On this dial is a clip that you can move. Does the round dial tell the aquastat when to shut down, and the clip when to turn the boiler on? If I turn the round dial to 180 under the arrow marking, how can I tell where to move and set the clip at? I don't understand the functions of the dial and the high limit stop.
