180° operating temp is commmon for baseboard heating. Unless you're also making domestic hot water, you might try lowering the hi-limit to see if the heat is enough for comfort. You might wind up raising it in the deep cold part of the winter.
You should have tried purging the air from the system after adding water back. PSI should be around 20 at full temp, around 12PSI cold.
