I just turned my HB Smith natural gas-fired steam heating system on the other day and noticed that before the radiators finish heating up, the Water Pressure is high (above 15psi) and then the cut off kicks in at 17 psi and shuts the system down before heating. I did get a new Honeywell Aquastat put on there last year, currently it's set at 140 degrees. I turned it down from 185 degrees to 140 this summer, cause I also have forced hot water... (thought it might lower my bill a little...) If i raise the temp on the aquastat back to what it was originally, will this reduce my water pressure??? Or does this matter???
