Thanks for this great information.

Two questions:

1. Where does one buy replacement air vents?

2. I want to control the temperature in various rooms, but I have a single thermostat. It seems I could do this by regulating the output of each radiator. Before I understood the function of the airvent, I assume the best way to regulate the radiator was using the steam valve near the floor. Is it better to open the steam valve fully and use the airvent to control the speed by which the radiator heats? Or should I use a combination of both? Is the steam valve on each radiator functional as a throttling device?

(Yes, I am a complete newbie at this steam heating system.)
