Combi boiler won't seem to switch off

I have bought a house with a Worcester 240 Combi boiler controlled by a Danfoss TS75 time programmer. Previously there were no TRVs or room thermostats, and when the central heating was programmed to come on, mornings and evenings, the only control was the water temperature dial on the boiler itself.

To make controlling the house temperature slightly more efficient I have had a Drayton Combi Stat installed, positioned in the hallway. Now, however, the boiler works off of the room thermostat all the time, even if the programmer/time controller is set to the OFF position, and know one can work out why.

Does anyone know why this might be, and how to remedy it?

Cheers
