That's exactly my question - will the modulation provide lower temperature water when the radiant zone calls for it, or does this type of boiler always produce the same temperature of water, but just in different "amounts" (loads), depending on the circulator rate? All in-floor radiant systems use lower temperature water than hydronic baseboard systems; however, since ours is a under-floor system, it probably requires a higher temperature than some.


: Modulated output is not needed, but a control arrangement to reduce the water temperature for the radiant portion could be necessary, if that is the kind of radiant installation that uses lower temperatures. As you did not say, and might not know what temperature is required for the radiant, a definite statement can not be provided.
