After reading HeatPro's comments, and after seeing an episode of Ask This Old House (ha!)where they did this, I went down and checked out our system - and, yes, the previous owner did install a mixing valve, although it's just a manual valve, so I'll have to re-adjust it after the new boiler is installed. Maybe I'll consider a controlled version. I'm starting to figure out why they installed so many temperature gauges everywhere!
:
: You need a mixing valve for the slab zone as not to exceed 120 deg. You could also reset boiler temp based on outside air temp. IE 20=180 where 50=130 or whats your requirement based on design temp for your area. Ken
