Thank you for the feedback. I did try (very rough estimates of room sizes) your program to calculate BTU's needed.

Any strong opinions on the utility of adding an indirect hot water heater vs staying with the tankless coil? We're a family of four, one and a half baths with a possibility of adding an outdoor shower. The furnace installer wasn't sure if, given our relatively low water pressure, the separate heater would make a difference to our water flow.

Also, are the following units about equal in quality? Burnham, Weil-Mclain, Crown Bahama, Peerless, Burdeus. (1800 sf house, two floors, about 180 ft of baseboard heating)

The heating installer claims that shutting the heat off every week while away will eventually causse leaks. I thought the Burnham he plans to install doesn't even have gaskets to shrink or crack.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts
