There are some boilers on the market that are steel plate heat exchangers instead of iron and may have lighter weight burners, jackets etc to get them down to a price that some people will see as the cheapest available. Just like any other product. They can last a very long time if they are maintained well, kept clean and dry. I would trust the brands you mention.
