Just blow a half-gallon or so out of the bottom blowdown. Air won't go in. The air in the expansion tank will expand and replace it's volume until the auto-feed valve fills the system back up to the pressure setting. Blowdown any other fittings that have a valve as low water cutoffs etc. Steam people - blow down gauge glass. Let the water sit for a day or whatever so you can see what you got and schedule repeats on the amount you got. Run blr for an hour or so after adding a lot of water.
