Some people recommend running the pump contiuously, even some as all year. Especially with an outdoor reset the heating can be more even. Also some thinking is that the acceleration of bearings and seals is the most wear (as some recommend leaving your hard drive going). I haven't seen a Heat Maker in years and saw nothing with altavista.
