I recently moved into an old New England farm house (~1820)and there is no central heat. I having a new 2 flue chimmeny built (1 flue for oil fired boiler, other for future wood stove or wood fired boiler)and considering the buderus 215/3 boiler w/ inderect water heater. Due to the low or lack of insulating I would set the boiler up w/ an outside air monitoring to avoid cycling the boiler to much. I have quotes from different installers 1) weil mcclein @$6500.00, 2)Burnham @ $11500.00 and 3)Buderus @$22000.00. Why is there such a spread between installers and cost? I realize that the Buderus is a little more money for the hardware but $10k more??
