I have just installed a new steam boiler. The estimate called for an intermittent pilot, but the boiler came with a standing pilot. I have not paid the total bill, so I have leverage to get the standing
pilot if I want it. The installer said there is some advange to standings pilots such as low maintenence, and something he called keeping the air dry during the humid summer months. Is there anything to this?, and if I decide to keep the standing pilot, should I get a price reduction?
